As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of investigation service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia imposed criminal liability upon three persons on the fact of manufacturing and use of forged charge documents.
The investigation revealed that the accused persons imported 110 cc. engine quadro cycles in Georgia, which was subject to registration at the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and required a relevant category driving license according to Georgian legislation.
In order to facilitate the sale of such equipment and for circumvent the procedures established by law, these accused persons, in the process of sale of the equipment, produced and used false waybills and invoices in which the capacity of quadro cycles’ engines was unlawfully reduced to 50 cubic centimeters, which in turn was not subject to registration.
Investigation is in underway under the second part of Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
