Professional Day of the Employees of the Service was celebrated at Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. The Agency presented a report on its activities for 2024 and awarded successful employees.
In his speech, the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, noted that the activities of the Service are of particular importance in protecting the economic interests of the state, combating financial and economic crime, and promoting economic development. According to him, the stability and economic security of the country's financial sector are the basis of a competitive economy.
The Head of Investigation Service, Soso Ramishvili, while presenting the report for the past year, noted that Investigation Service remains as agency protecting the stability of the financial and economic sphere of the Georgian state, and successfully implements the prevention, detection, investigation and suppression of crime and corrupt practices in this area. He noted that the Service annually strengthens its activities to eliminate financial and economic crime in the country and maintain the stability of the competitive business environment. The Head of Investigation Service placed special emphasis on combating crimes with a cyber-component and illegal entrepreneurial activities carried out by so-called call centers, which requires the introduction of modern investigative methods. According to him, transnational crimes also remain a challenge, that requires constant improvement of professional skills of the employees and active coordination with colleague investigative agencies.
At the end of the event, the Minister of Finance of Georgia and the Head of Investigation Service awarded employees of the Service with the badges and presented them with certificates of appreciation.
