As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out, representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained an employee of the primary technical inspection center of motor vehicles on the fact of commercial bribery.

Investigation determined that the accused person, who worked as an inspector of one of the technical inspection center, located in Tbilisi and who was responsible for conducting the testing of motor vehicles in accordance with the requirements of the technical regulations, in order to receive personal illegal material benefit issued a report of passing the technical inspection on a technically defective motor vehicle, for which he requested and accepted GEL 150 from the citizen.

The investigation is underway under the third part of Article 221, which envisages imprisonment from 2 to 4 years.
