Investigation Service imposed criminal liability on one person on the fact of breach of procedure related to the movement of goods across the customs border of Georgia

As a result of activities carried out by representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia in coordination with representatives of the Customs Department of Revenue Service, imposed criminal liability on a citizen of Russian Federation of the fact of committing crime under the first part of Article 214 of the Criminal Code of Georgia – attempt to covertly move large quantity of goods across the customs border of Georgia.

 

Investigation determined, that the accused person, was trying to move large quantity of different types of undeclared goods, through the customs checkpoint “Kazbegi”, from Georgia to Russian Federation.

 

195 units of different types of perfumes, with total customs value of GEL 17 559, were seized as a result of investigative activities.
