As a result of close professional collaboration with international liaison officer of the British Embassy to Georgia, representatives of the National Crime Agency (NCA) of the United Kingdom delivered specialized 2-day training to investigators and analysts of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia. Topics of the training covered various aspects related to the parallel financial investigations and frozen assets management.
During the training, there have been reviewed in details respective legislation of the UK and case studies were thoroughly analyzed, within the frames of the mandate of the parties.
The importance of sharing the best experiences on methodology and practice in the direction of investigating crimes committed in the financial and economic field was highlighted.
Specific activities in relevant areas will be planned in near future, with the aim of deepening further professional cooperation between the colleague agencies of the UK and Georgia.
