The head of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Soso Ramishvili, along with other senior officials, hosted the director of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the Embassy of the United States of America, Ms. Sarah Rupert.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the long-term successful and effective cooperation of the Investigation Service and the INL, within the framework of which the employees of the Service have the opportunity to raise their qualifications in the fight against financial crimes at the local or international level, share the best international practices in this direction and establish professional ties. At the meeting, attention was also focused on the important structural changes recently implemented in the Investigation Service and the challenges in this regard.
The parties positively assessed the results achieved within the framework of cooperation, discussed the professional and technical needs of the Investigation Service in the fight against financial and economic crime, expressed readiness to expand the scope of mutual cooperation and overcome current challenges with joint efforts.
