MEETING WITH THE REPRESENTATIVES OF UNODC AND PROJECT “SUPPORT TO THE PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION REFORM IN GEORGIA”

On March 31st of current year, within the framework of the EU-funded project - "Support to the Public Administration Reform in Georgia", working meeting was held between the representatives of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Senior Expert on Transparency and Accountability - Hendrikus van Boxmeer and experts of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) - Olexy Feshchenko and Vitaliy Galeta.

Head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili together with the other officials hosted Mr.Tibor Draskovics, the team leader of the EU funded project “Support to the Public Administration Reform in Georgia” and Mr. Hendrikus Van Boxmeer, senior expert in transparency and accountability. At the introductory meeting the parties discussed specific areas of future cooperation.

On November 17th, 2021 head of Tbilisi Main Division of Investigation Department of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Mr. Besik Tsikhelashvili participated in the online 3rd meeting of Steering Committee of the project on “Enhancing the systems of prevention and combating corruption, money laundering and terrorist financing in Georgia”, organized by the Economic Crime and Cooperation Division (ECCD) of the Council of Europe.

VISIT OF DELEGATION OF INVESTIGATION SERVICE IN THE REPUBLIC OF TURKEY

During the November 08-12 of current year, head of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia - Soso Ramishvili, with the support of the Police Attaché of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Giorgi Mezvrishvili, led a visit of Investigation Service delegation in the capital of the Republic of Turkey – Ankara. Meeting was also attended by deputy heads of Investigation Service Vaja Panozishvili and Vakhtang Paresishvili and head of Investigation Department Levan Dzneladze. During the visit, meetings were held between the heads of National Police Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department (KOM), Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the republic of Turkey and Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
