Representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained one person on the fact of storage and sale of a particularly large amount of non-excised cigarettes.

As a result of the investigative activities, 150 000 packs of „FARGO“ and „MILANO“ cigarettes were seized, total value of which exceeds GEL 690 000.

Investigation is underway under the third part of the Article 200 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which as a type of sentence, envisages imprisonment from six to eight years.

Investigation Service continues intensive activities to identify other persons involved in the criminal scheme and ensure legal measures against them.
