As a result of investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia detained an employee of NNLE Gori Municipality Development and Tani and Tedzmi Protected Landscape Management Agency for bribe-taking.

Investigation determined that accused was taking a bribe by using his official power.

Detainee demanded and took bribe USD 1 400 from a citizen in exchange for arranging a camping area in a forest without a permit.

The accused was detained immediately after taking requested bribe and money was seized as evidence.

Investigation is underway under first part of Article 338, of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which as a type of sentence, provides imprisonment for a term of six to nine years.
