Internship in the Investigation Service

One of the priorities for Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance remains hiring (recruitment) of professional and highly qualified staff at the Service. Since 2010, Investigation Service been implementing internship programs to promote effective fighting against financial-economic crimes and attract educated and well-motivated young people.

444 candidates participated in the internship programs held during 2010-2024, out of which 271 interns were employed in the Investigation Service after accomplishment of the program.

Within the frames of internship programs, many young and qualified staff have joined the Service. Nowadays, several ones occupy even leading positions at the Investigative Service.

What does the internship program include?

Within the frames of 6-months internship program, candidates will be able to obtain theoretical knowledge at the Academy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, while undergoing a practical course in Tbilisi and the regional units of  Investigation Service.

Is it possible for an intern to be employed in the Investigation Service?

In case of positive assessment of the internship, interns will be assigned to the relevant vacancies at the Service.

How could I learn about the commencement of an internship program?

Prior to the competition, information about the internship will be disseminated through the Service's social and official websites, as well as in the various mass-media (sources).

Who can apply for the internship?

  • Citizen of Georgia, having high education or being a graduate student, will be accepted for the non-paid internship;
  • Citizen of Georgia, having high education will be accepted for the paid internship.

What documentation should be submitted by the candidate for participation in the competition?

  • A copy of the citizen's ID card;
  • CV;
  • Copy of the diploma and asessment sheet (in case of a graduate student - certificate of graduation from high educational institution);
  • Two photographs (3X4);
  • A certificate about health status
  • A certificate of the medical-narcological examination;
  • A certificate of conviction;
  • Motivation letter.

What are the stages of the competition?

  • Receiving applications;
  • Professional testing;
  • Skills test;
  • Emotional intelligence test (for the vacanct position of an Inspector-investigator/Intern);
  • Interview.
