As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities, representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, accused and brought to the criminal liability one person on the fact of misappropriation of large amount of money belonging to the state, by using official powers.

Investigation determined, that the accused person, who worked as an accountant in two educational institutions located in Adjara region, by manipulating wage sheet, artificially increased the amount of the salary to be received, therefore during 2019-2021 he misappropriated totally GEL 41 543.

Investigation is underway under the second and the third parts of Article 182 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisage imprisonment from 7 to 11 years.
