The employees of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia celebrated their professional day and the 20th anniversary of establishment. In addition, report of the activities of the Service for 2023 has been presented. Minister of Finance - Lasha Khutsishvili opened the event dedicated to the Professional Day of the Investigation Service. The Minister congratulated employees of Investigation Service their professional day, positively assessed the work performed by the Agency during the past year and thanked employees of the Service for their work.

As a result of investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were detained on the fact of taking fraudulent possession of a large amount of another person’s property by the organized group.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were brought to the criminal liability as accused on the fact of commercial bribery and manufacturing of forged documents.

As a result of operative-search and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, in coordination with the Customs Department of the Revenue Service, two facts of transporting a particularly large amount of goods at the customs border of Georgia in violation of customs rules were exposed, for which two persons were detained.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the employees of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, criminal prosecution was initiated against four persons, two of them were detained based on the court decision, on the fact of trying to fraudulently misappropriate a large amount of someone else's property using forged document.

As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, two persons were brought to the criminal liability on the fact of carrying out entrepreneurial activities without the relevant permit.
