As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, criminal prosecution was initiated against two persons on the facts of illegal embezzlement of a large amount of property belonging to a non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entity using the official position, in a group, by prior agreement and abuse of official powers.

Investigation determined that the accused persons, who were the heads of one of the N(N)LPs for persons with disabilities, in the period of 2021-2022, contrary to the requirements of the charter of the enterprise, according which they were obliged to conduct the organization's activities in good faith and to use the property only for the charter purposes, made decisions, as a result of which illegally embezzled a large amount of movable property worth GEL 452 187.

It is also determined, that the accused persons, during the period of management of the organization, made decisions harmful to the legal interests of the organization, as a result of which the real estate belonging to N(N)LP was transferred to other legal entities, which caused damage in the amount of GEL 3 005 189.
